A campervan complete with a permanent staircase that takes you up to a bed in a pop-up roof is among the new models in Carado’s line-up for 2026, which includes models for those after either a campervan or motorhome.
The Fiat-based Carado CV541 Pro has a cab that is separated from the rest of the campervan by a partition.
Immediately behind this, and directly in front of the sliding door, a staircase, which includes storage compartments, a half-height fridge and a tall, slimline wardrobe, takes you up to the roof bed.

A rear lounge with parallel settees is located behind the side kitchen in the 5.41m-long van.
Permanent staircases are not unheard of in motorhomes. Bürstner’s Lyseo Gallery models, for example, include one, as does Hymer’s Venture S model. However, this is the first time such a staircase has appeared in a campervan, particularly in a relatively budget brand like Carado.
Among Carado’s own motorhomes this year, a new V347 model in its compact coachbuilt range is a motorhome with fixed single beds in the rear, but also includes as standard a bed that folds against the wall when not in use, and can be folded out over the front dinette when needed.

The Clever-Lift bed does not obstruct the habitation door and allows a regular headroom to be maintained. As an option, the seats below can also be made into a bed, bringing the berth tally to four.
The Clever-Lift bed is available as a cost option in all the other Carado low-profile models this season, including the T135, with a French bed, and the T328.

The latter is a new model similar to the existing T338, with fixed single beds in the back. But it also includes a slimline 137-litre fridge to allow for a fifth seat in the front dinette.
Carado is not the only brand to be sharing information about its 2026 launches. Another manufacturer that has unveiled information is Chausson, which has added four new models and is also offering more motorhomes on either a Ford or Fiat base vehicle.
